CHARLES STEGEMAN, violin, appears as Concertmaster of the Musicfest. Stegeman graduated from the Curtis Institute and Juilliard School of Music with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees respectively. He is concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Opera and Ballet, and chairman of strings and director of orchestral training at Duquesne University. Stegeman has played extensively in Europe and North America and has won five national competitions and the International Canadian Music Competition in Montreal. He performs annually at festivals in California, Kansas and St. Barts.
