PHILIP SANBORN, trombone, resides in Marion, MA and is chairman of the music department at Tabor Academy. He holds a bachelor of music degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he studied with Abe Torchinsky. As a conductor, Mr. Sanborn is in his fourth season as Music Director and Principal Con- ductor of the Tri-County Symphonic Band. As a trom- bonist and euphonium player, he has performed throughout RI and MA, with such groups as the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra,, Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra, Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra and New Bedford Symphony.
