Roger Myers
ROGER MYERS, viola, enjoys an impressive record of performing and teaching both here and abroad. While he maintains a successful viola class at the University of Texas at Austin, he has traveled widely presenting concerts and master classes in countries on three continents including Austria, Norway, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada as well as the U.S.A. Born in Sydney, Australia where he played with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra while still a student, he has lived in the United States since 1987. He has performed with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the Santa Barbara Symphony, as principal violist with the Santa Fe Pro Musica and recently had the honor of being asked to play with the New West Symphony Orchestra in Los Angeles as principal viola.
