Cameron Owen is the bass trombonist for the Boston Ballet Orchestra, the Boston Lyric Opera and the Portland Symphony Orchestra. When he is not performing with one of these groups, he is freelancing in the New England area. He regularly performs with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops in addition to many other orchestras. Cameron received his Bachelors in Music Performance from the University of Alabama (2017) and Masters in Music Performance from the New England Conservatory (2019). Cameron has participated in many competitions for bass trombone and has had the prestige of winning two international bass trombone competitions, the Kleinhammer Bass Trombone Excerpt Competition and the Donald Yaxley Bass Trombone Solo Competition. Cameron has also participated in many summer festivals including the National Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, and Tanglewood Music Center.
