Ryan Turano currently lives in Nashville, TN, where he serves as acting contrabassoonist for the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. Previously, he served as contrabassoonist for the Louisiana Philharmonic. He earned his Master of Music degree at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Richard Beene. He earned his Bachelor of Music studying with Richard Svoboda at the New England Conservatory. Ryan has performed several times at the Sunflower Music Festival and Buzzards Bay Music Festival, and as a student he participated in summer festivals at the Tanglewood Music Center and Aspen.
